Brock Magruder, Sr., M.D., Orlando native, is the founder of the Magruder Eye Institute. He has been a pioneer in the field of ophthalmology for over 40 years. In fact, he performed the very first cataract surgery and lens implantation in Orlando. The original goal and mission of Dr. Magruder remains the same for the Eye Institute: to provide effective, state of the art technology to help people improve their vision. The Eye Institute has grown over the years with offices now in four locations. For more than four decades, it has been a leader in providing the highest quality eye care to Central Florida residents. The Institute offers specialized treatment and surgery for all ophthalmic diseases, including refractive (LASIK) surgery and cosmetic eyelid and brow surgery.

Magruder Eye Institute has observed, responded to, and incorporated change since its inception. At this time, the most advanced intraocular lens implants are being offered to our cataract patients, and the new PASCAL treatment for proliferative diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema has been implemented. All of the partners of the Institute are board certified Ophthalmologists, many of whom have advanced degrees in specialized areas.
