He laid the foundation of his medical career with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, accompanied by a Minor in Chemistry, at Florida State University, earning the distinction of Cum Laude. He then pursued a Master of Science in Medical Sciences at the University of South Florida before achieving his Doctor of Medicine degree at the esteemed University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.
With a passion for knowledge and a commitment to excellence, Dr. Ortiz completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida, where he also served as Chief Resident. His experience as Chief Resident speaks volumes about his leadership and dedication to the field.
